Our Mission
Child of the World Foundation is a, non profit apolitical trust managed by responsible trustees and created for the following purposes.
Objects and Purposes of Child of the World
The basic objects for which the Child of the World is established are:
- To support, encourage, inform and guide disadvantaged young people Australia wide; by the provision of information, social and financial support to enable them to continue and to promote their education and learning (through an approved Australian course) as a central strategy to alleviate the effects of poverty, unemployment and lack of access to opportunity. Recipients of support must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
- To facilitate the development of partnerships and networks between individuals and organisations in order enhance the support provided to disadvantaged young people Australia wide
- To facilitate the development of skills, knowledge and resources that enable other, relevant organisations to support, encourage, inform and guide disadvantaged young people Australia wide.
- To operate as a not for profit organization, as a Registered Australian Charity.
- Child of the World Foundation Inc. has established a public fund under its entity, that is maintained solely for providing money for eligible scholarships and bursaries for students Australia wide, that are awarded on the basis of merit and equity.
- Child of the World Foundation Inc. has established a GIFT fund under its entity, that is maintained solely for providing money for eligible scholarships and bursaries for students Australia wide, that are awarded on the basis of merit and equity. This fund meets the requirements of the ATO to be eligible for DGR status.
- Child of the World Foundation Inc. has established a GENERAL fund under its entity, that is maintained solely for providing money for eligible scholarships and bursaries for students Australia wide, that are awarded on the basis of merit and equity. The funds from this source are from the sale of products, posters and services provided by the Foundation.
- To finance the Association’s operations from any sources approved by the Board including contributions from the public, and the sale of products on the website.
